Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual (My First Makeup Book!)

Yesterday, I became the happiest girlfriend on earth! :)

I once again went and visited National Bookstore together with my boyfriend, Mike, to spy on a book that I have been dying to get hold of for weeks already. This book is the Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual (For Everyone from Beginner to Pro). I have been reading a lot of positive feedback on the Internet about this book so I thought I should get one if I really wanted to learn more about this industry.

As you all know, I am an aspiring makeup artist. This started when I decided to become one of the Philippines' Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, which happened three months ago. Being one, we were trained to groom ourselves in such a way that potential clients will be convinced that despite of the products being a little bit pricey, they are worth buying for. Of course by doing so, we get to try on the products first before we do skin care classes and let other people go and try on them. Guess what? I fell in love with Mary Kay for reasons like it boosted my self-confidence I never thought I had and made me realize that being beautiful somehow needs an investment. Because of this, I developed a habit that until now, I find it difficult to get rid of and nobody can blame me. Why? Because I happen to be a girl and I have the right to be beautiful, my own way. :)

So yesterday, I tried to check on the book again and to my disappointment, it was no longer on the display track, where I usually see it around whenever I go there. There was another Bobbi Brown book but it was not what I wanted. We searched everywhere. I told myself, there has to be another copy left. Suddenly, I remembered the previous visit I had that aside from the one in the display track inside the store, there was one being displayed behind the front glass and beside the luggage counter. So we decided to take a look and there I saw one copy, still all covered with plastic. Satisfyingly relieved seeing it, I diverted myself back to reality, hoping that the next time I go back, it would still be there. Now, wondering what my boyfriend was up to, I saw him still standing there and to my surprise, I saw the book in his arms! I shot him a why-do-you-have-the-book-with-you look and right then and there, he told me he was going to get it for me! I was like, "whaaaaaaaaaaaatt?? For real?" He nodded and I, on the other hand, jumped like a kid. Yaaaaay! End of story. Hahaha! :D

So.. This is the book that my boyfriend surprisingly bought for me yesterday. I have not started reading it yet but I will have to, probably after blogging this. By the way, I will be sending off a review on this one right after I finish off reading it. That's a promise. :)

HAPPY ME!!! :)))

Meet the BOYFRIEND! Thanks, b! ♥

Make-Up Organizer

Let me just share with you what I found while I was window shopping late this afternoon. :)

I was at National Bookstore earlier with my mom and my little sister. Honestly, I just really wanted to spy on a book, which I'm dying to get hold of for like weeks already. Not far from where I was standing, I saw a pile of pouches ranging from small to large in sizes. I got attracted to it as I already had in mind to buy myself a new make-up bag/kit - a bigger one this time because of a few addition to my latest obsession. I was like standing there for twenty minutes because I don't know what to pick! LOL!! I could just imagine my mom's reaction whenever I ask for her help. I actually wanted something red or black. There were a few choices but they weren't just big enough for me. I kept searching for a few more minutes and look what I just found!

One glimpse may give a boring impression but wait till you get to see how it looks in the inside!  :)

CHADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! LOL! :D
Seriously, i love it because of the amount of spaces it has!

This is the topmost compartment.

Well, this space here may be used to neatly organize all your eye pencils or your brushes, maybe.

Do you see the silver half moon handle on top? This makes it more of an amazing must-have, since you can also optionally hang this somewhere in your room. :)

This is the middle compartment.

This one here is more spacious so you may put all your lipsticks/lip glosses, mascara, concealers, comb, mirror, or your set of brushes alone.

This is the third and last compartment.

Lastly, this one has the most spacious compartment, so all the rest that won't fit on the upper two compartments will definitely have their spaces here, such as your foundation, pressed powder, cheek colors, eye shadows, bronzers, etc.

The price?

Well, this only costs P 145.25! Very affordable, indeed.

Go grab your own Make-up Organizers now! :)

Three Years and Five Months ♥

It has been eight solid years since I first had a taste of falling in love with a man who, obviously became my first true love. :)

At 16, I was innocently young and timid. I had a low self-esteem, mainly because I had severe acne breakouts then. I felt ugly and rejected. Though I have known several people from school, I was never comfortable talking to them other than my own group of friends, who I, thankfully, still keep in touch with today. Every day of my life, I have been sticking with these craaaaazy people until that day when that one person came and changed everything that I got used to.

I must admit, my world revolved around him alone. He became my best friend. My partner. My everything.

Three years and five months later, he ended what seemed like a relationship full of potential to even last, way beyond those years.

It was, indeed, my first heartbreak. :(

That same year, I met my mature love. It may have been too fast of a recovery, but I would say he came at the most perfect time. The more I was happy because we had so much in common and every day became a surprise as we continued to unveil more fun revelations from each other. We were so happy back then.

But see, it was not the same blissful cycle every day and my faith was again tested in the middle of a preparation for a Nurse Licensure Examination. He broke up with me and left for Manila. He left me hoping that someday soon, I knew he will be back. I risked and made myself wait patiently. It was the hardest but I endured everything. I tried to go on with my review claiming for positive results from the November 2009 Board Examination. I had no one but God, family, and friends. :)

I continued praying for him as much as I have been praying hard for the Board result. No one knew, except God.

Christmas 2009 became one of the happiest Christmases ever! Looking back, I couldn't stop myself from being so thankful because God indeed answered what my heart was really longing for. He came home for good. You could just imagine how everything was falling into its proper place because by February, I became a Registered Nurse. Yay! Now, isn't that enough proof that our God is an AMAZING GOD? :)

Going back, it became hard for us and for both families, as well, especially for the first few months that we have been trying to fix things in our relationship. No one said it will be easy but with the help of prayers, love, and most importantly, trust, what's nice is that we still have each other until this very day, 16th of March 2012 - three years and five months, since we started a love story that may not have been so perfect, but definitely worth keeping for. ♥
